Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) form an agreement between you and Samantha Sachs t/as Wattleitbee Floral Design (ABN 62 663 277 427) of 2 Keith Street, Roseville NSW 2069 Australia (“we”, “us” and “our”). We operate the website www.wattleitbee.com.au (the “Website”).

By placing an order with us you agree to these Terms.

Terms and conditions for floral arrangements, plants, hampers and gifts.

The following terms and conditions apply to all our products, excluding weddings and functions

Cancellation of orders

If for any reason an order needs to be cancelled, you should contact us as soon as possible. Cancellations are subject to the following conditions:

§  orders which have left for delivery cannot be cancelled;

§  orders which have not yet been prepared by our florist may be cancelled, with a $50 cancellation fee applied; and

§  orders which have been prepared but have not left for delivery may be cancelled but will incur a cancellation fee equal to the full price of the arrangement less the delivery fee.

You acknowledge and agree that the above cancellation policy is fair and reasonable having regard to the perishable nature of the goods and the need for us to pre-order supplies to prepare your order.

Delivery and redelivery

You are responsible for providing the correct delivery address and delivery instructions at the time of placing your order. We will attempt to make deliveries at a time when the recipient is present to accept the delivery. If nobody is available to accept the delivery, you authorise us to leave the ordered items in a safe, shaded place. If we determine that there is no safe, shaded place to leave the items, we will not make the delivery. Once a delivery has been made in accordance with this paragraph, we will no longer be responsible for the flowers and all risk of loss or damage to the goods passes to you.

If a delivery has been attempted unsuccessfully and requires a second or subsequent delivery to be made a $30 redelivery fee will apply. If we are responsible for the redelivery being required, no redelivery fee will be charged.

Damaged Items

If an item you ordered is received damaged or in poor condition, we will require photographic proof of the item. Once we confirm the item was delivered damaged or in poor condition, you will be offered a replacement or a full refund or store credit, whichever you prefer. Any refunds will be transferred back to the original payment method.

Flowers and plants are delicate. You must treat them with appropriate care. Items will not be refunded as damaged items if they are damaged by you or not treated with care.

Terms and Conditions for weddings and functions

The following terms and conditions apply to orders for weddings and functions only

Quotations, bookings and payment

Once we have consulted with you regarding your requirements for your wedding or function, we will provide you with a written quotation. The quotation is valid for 14 days. You may accept the quotation by paying the non-refundable deposit specified on the quotation. Upon receipt of the deposit, your date will be secured. The deposit will be credited towards the balance of payment when due. Our availability for your wedding or event is correct as at the date of the quotation. We suggest you confirm your booking as soon as possible, as busy dates may book out after your quote expires.

Quoted prices are subject to change, based on final selections. Payment in full is required no later than 14 days before the date of your wedding or function. If you fail to pay in full by that time, we reserve the right to cancel your booking and retain all monies previously paid by you.

Minimum Orders

Our minimum order value is:

  • $500 for personals (bouquets/buttonholes etc.),
  • $2000 for out of Sydney areas, or
  • $1500 for reception/ceremony decorations

plus delivery fees.

Changes to your order

You may make changes to your order, subject to the following:

  • you cannot reduce the total order by more than 20% of the quotation forming the basis of your initial booking;
  • you may add to your order as needed, up to 14 days before the date of your wedding or function;
  • removing items from your order is only permitted up to 1 month prior to the date of your wedding or function; and
  • changes to location or time of event or delivery locations may incur additional charges.

Substitutions and variations

We will make every effort to deliver flowers exactly as ordered. Occasionally due to circumstances beyond our control, an ordered flower or colour may be unavailable. If this occurs, we will attempt to contact you to discuss substitutes, but reserve the right to use our judgment to make appropriate substitutions as required, using flowers and foliage with the closest available likeness. Flower colours and sizes can vary slightly throughout the year. Vases and containers may be substituted for a similar item if the original shown in your order is unavailable.

We accept no liability for unavailability of vases or containers, flowers or slight variations in flower colour or size.


If you cancel your booking at any time, we will retain the deposit. Once you have made your final payment, we do not offer any refunds or credits for cancellations.

Free items

If any free items are included in your quotation, these are not exchangeable or redeemable for cash or a discount.

Location and venue

You are responsible for obtaining all required permits for your wedding or function.

We will not be held responsible for any clean-up of rubbish left behind after the ceremony.

Delivery and set-up

Bouquets and buttonholes for weddings must be delivered to a home or hotel address. We require a minimum of 90 mins access prior to start time for setups of wedding and function venues. Deliveries and venue setups can be slightly delayed due to unexpected circumstances outside of our control, such as traffic conditions. If the location involves difficult access, where a trolley cannot be used to reach the location e.g. stairs or sand or if the distance is greater than 100m from vehicle, a $150 surcharge will be charged.

Once we have delivered and set-up your order at the agreed location(s), we are no longer responsible for the items and will not be held liable for the condition of the flowers. We do not accept liability for flowers perishing quickly in cases of extreme heat.

Loaned items

Any items loaned to you (e.g. arbours) remain our property. You will be liable for and will be invoiced the cost of any damage to or loss of items we loan to you. 

Wet weather

Wet weather options for your wedding or event must be discussed beforehand. We will do our best to accommodate reasonable requests to set up in an alternative location, but may charge an additional fee for our time. We have the right to refuse to set up items in outdoor locations if it is unsafe to do so due to severe weather. If weather prevents us from setting up items, or if your wet weather alternative means the items are no longer required, no money will be refunded as the items will already have been purchased or reserved for your wedding.


Terms and Conditions for Workshops

The following terms and conditions apply to workshops only

It is a pre-condition of attending a workshop that you accept and sign our Participation Waiver, which when signed will be incorporated into and form a part of these Terms. A parent or guardian must sign the Participation Waiver as a pre-condition to a minor’s participation in a workshop.

Places to workshops will be filled on a first come, first served basis.

We reserve the right to cancel and reschedule a workshop if we do not have sufficient numbers to conduct the workshop. We also may cancel and reschedule a workshop due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control. You will not be entitled to compensation for any loss, expense or damage or for any loss of time or inconvenience, which may result from such cancellation. If you are unable to attend on the rescheduled date, we will provide you with a full refund.

You may cancel your booking to attend a workshop by calling us on our telephone number stated on the Website. We order materials for workshops at least 14 days in advance. Accordingly, if you cancel with at least 14 days’ prior notice, we will provide you with a full refund. If you cancel with less than 14 days’ notice, we may provide no refund or a partial refund, which decision will be at our sole discretion on a case-by-case basis.


General Terms and Conditions

The following terms and conditions apply to all our products and services


At the time you place your order, you are agreeing to pay the specified purchase price, together with any delivery charges. All amounts are stated in Australian dollars. Delivery charges will be separately itemised.

By placing an order with us, you are making an offer to purchase the desired Products or Services. You are not permitted to order any Products or Services for resale to a third party. We reserve the right to accept or reject any offer you make, for any reason, including if the Products requested are not available, workshop classes are full, payment is not processed successfully, we suspect your order is for commercial purposes, there is the possibility of fraud or there is an error in the price or our description of the product or service. Each offer accepted by us creates a separate and binding agreement between you and us for the supply of the relevant products or services.

Payment methods

Payment for products or services must be by direct deposit or by credit or debit card. A transaction fee may apply for the use of certain credit cards. Payments may be processed by our third-party payment processors, e.g. Square. When making a payment, you agree that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of any third-party payment processors, which are available on their respective websites.

Product Descriptions

We describe our products and services as accurately as possible, however we do not warrant that the description is accurate.  Where we become aware of any misdescription, we reserve the right to correct any error or omission. 

Images of products or services on the Website and social media are provided for illustrative purposes only and we do not guarantee that any image has reproduced in true colour.

Warranties and liability

We warrant that if any product fails to comply with the following promises on your receipt of the product, you will be entitled to a replacement, full refund or store credit:

  • each product is of saleable quality (subject to any defects already disclosed) and will comply in all material respects with any descriptions given by us; and
  • unless otherwise noted, the products will be new and not second-hand.

We warrant that if any service fails to comply with the following promises when performed, you may request reperformance of the services or a full refund or store credit:

  • The services will be provided with due care and skill;
  • The services are fit for the purposes described by us; and
  • The services will be performed within a reasonable time.

In addition, if the Australian Consumer Law applies to our sale of a product or service to you, we provide you with notice of the following guarantee under the Australian Consumer Law:  our products and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

All express or implied warranties, representations, statements, terms and conditions relating to these Terms or a Product or Service that are not contained in these Terms, are excluded to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Subject to our obligations under the Australian Consumer Law, and to the maximum extent permitted by law, our maximum aggregate liability for all claims under or relating to these Terms or a product or service, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), in equity, under statute or on any other basis, is limited to an amount equal to the greater of:

  • AUD$100; and
  • the amounts paid by you for the applicable product or service.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for, and no measure of damages will, under any circumstances, include:

  • special, indirect, consequential, incidental or punitive damages; or
  • damages for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill or anticipated savings,

whether in contract, tort (including negligence), in equity, under statute or on any other basis, whether or not such loss or damage was foreseeable and even if advised of the possibility of the loss or damage.

Our liability to you is diminished to the extent that your acts or omissions (or those of a third party) contribute to or cause the loss or liability.

Privacy Notice

In placing an order with us, you may give us personal information in which you have certain rights. You grant us consent to use your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Notice, which is available on the Website and is incorporated into and forms a part of these Terms.


Neither we nor you will be liable for any delay in performing an obligation under these Terms, if such delay is caused by circumstances beyond our or your reasonable control.

If any part of these Terms is held to be unenforceable, the unenforceable part is to be given effect to the greatest extent possible and the remainder will remain in full force and effect.

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and we and you irrevocably submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales, Australia.

These Terms, (together with any documents expressly incorporated into these Terms, such as the Privacy Notice and the Participation Waiver,) constitute the entire agreement between us and you in relation to the Products and Services.

The provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive termination or expiry of these Terms will survive termination or expiry of these Terms.
